GREAT START TO ELTHAM,DOREEN AND GEELONG ACADEMIES
Our Eltham, Doreen and Geelong Academies got off to flying starts last weekend and it was great to see so many kids and smiling faces as they had the ball at their feet after the Christmas holidays. Eltham recorded its highest intake in two years which is very pleasing.
ALL READY TO GO FOR 2012
Head coach Kevin Boyes will have an exciting program for all our players as we look forward to another successful year ahead. We cannot wait to start the ball rolling for 2012. Don’t forget to invite or bring a friend along!

NO PRICE INCREASE FOR 2012 REGISTRATION FEES
In our efforts to make playing soccer more affordable DOC United will keep the registration fee for this season at last year’s prices. This is great value when you consider the efforts DOC Football puts in to give your child the best development possible. The top class playing surface of our grounds is also a big drawing card as nothing beats playing on a grass surface.
Please note we accept the following payment methods: Cash, Cheque and Credit Card.
Please Note: New players need to bring a copy of their birth certificate and a passport size photo.
Existing players only need to advise us of any changes in detail from last season.
We look forward to another exciting and successful year.
DOC UNITED PRE-SEASON
Will commence on Wednesday 15th Feb at 5.50 pm.
COACHES WORKSHOP
All DOC coaches will be attending a workshop on Saturday 4th Feb headed by Kevin Boyes. We will have all our coaches of both the Academy and Club using the same coaching method. Kevin has worked hard on making the best up to date program available so as to give all DOC players the edge on their opponents.
Please visit our website regularly to keep up with all the latest news.
FUNS MOVING ON
DOC Football is sorry to say goodbye to the Fun family after seven years. Over that time Angelina and Jason have been a big part of both the Academy and Club and they will be missed. Angelina has run the administration and Jason was a valued member of our coaching staff. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and everyone associated with DOC Football to thank them for their great contribution. We wish them every success for the future.
It’s been a Year of Achievement
As 2011 is drawing to its close, I think it’s fair to say it has been a good one for DOC Football. The Academy has doubled in numbers this term which is very pleasing and just reward for the excellent work being done by Kevin, Patrick, Jason and all the coaching staff. It has been great to see the girls’ session grow so much this term and clearly all our boys and girls will benefit greatly by the time the 2012 season starts. The Academy in Geelong has really taken off and has record numbers this term. Our Doreen Academy has also taken off and 2012 should see the numbers swell as it’s a growing area full of young families. All in all things are looking very bright for another exciting and fun year at DOC Football in 2012.
DOC Expand Their Girl Power
DOC Football Academy is set to move on their success in girls’ soccer by expanding their program to develop girls of all ages and steer them to elite levels. The DOC United U/11 girls are the bench mark having been unbeaten over the past two years. So far this season they have not dropped a point and are scoring double figures most games. This is a remarkable achievement when you consider that when they first came together three years ago most of the girls had never played soccer before. Our U/13/14 girls’ teams are having a very good season also and are improving each week. This team was put together only a week before the season started but they have already molded into an excellent team under the guidance of experienced coach Patrick O'Connor. There is no doubt that these girls will be a real force next season if they stick together. Both Jason and Pat agree that coming through the DOC Academy girls will develop and improve their skills much quicker. So if you want to reach for the stars register at DOC Academy now and let us help you achieve your goals. We will be looking to select players to join the DOC Academy that are both passionate and ambitious and who want to reach the highest level possible in our great game. At the Academy you will be exposed to professional coaches teaching the latest and most advanced techniques in the modern game. Entry to the elite squad is only possible once you have reached the required standard of ability and is by invitation only.
"If you know friends who want to play soccer, bring them along"!
A Great Year of chievement for DOC United Football Club
The Old McDonalds Tactics
The U/12 boys got off to a slow start to the season losing the first 4 or 5 matches. As an incentive and to motivate the players, coach Paul decided to "dangle a little carrot" offering them all McDonalds if they were to win their next game. Needless to say, they did just that winning the very next match 6 - 2. From that round on, they went on to finish off the rest of the season undefeated.
........THE POWER OF McDonalds!!!!!
