My child is looking for a Club that can take him places. He is very passionate about soccer.
We have huge potential for our players. DOC Football Academy is affiliated with English league club Sheffield Wednesday and talent scouts for them. We have taken a number of our players overseas to train with professional clubs in the UK and had one selected to train with A-league club Melbourne Victory. Over the past five years 12 Academy boys have signed for professional clubs in the Victorian Premier league, an achievement which we at the academy are proud of, as it proves to us that we are on the right track. Our number one objective is and always will be to give our kids the knowledge and skill to follow their dreams of playing the game professionally.
What do I need to wear or bring for camp?
You need to bring shorts, t-shirt, soccer shoes and a pair of runners for indoor clinic. In case of bad weather an indoor program will be organized.
Can I purchase additional DOC Soccer uniform for my child?
YES. Complete order form in 'Registration & Form' and email to doc@docfootballacademy.com
Will my child or adult be placed in a league team with other players of similar age and ability?
Your child will play in the age group that he/she is turning during the year of the season. For example, if your child is turning (or has turned) 10 years old during the year then they would play in the U10 competition. However players may be required to participate in player assessment. Players may be put into teams on ability and match play above their age group.
For senior teams must be older than 15 years old. It is not unusual for some talented and experienced players to play in senior teams at this age, however most players would be playing in a junior team up to U18’s.
Do those who have already been playing for the club the previous year get placement first priority or do all players try out and group into teams?
DOC United Football Club is a community Club. As such, it is our policy to provide a team for both old and new members. We do not turn away any player unless there is not enough number to form another team.
When does the soccer league season run?
Every Sunday from 1st week May to either 1st or 2nd week Sept.
How many times a week do the junior teams train for the league?
Once or twice a week, depending on the weather condition
Which is the furthest distance we would have to travel for league matches?
Maximum approximately 1 ½ hour from Eltham/Research
What is your cancellation policy?
